Roanne is from California. Her interest in journalism was sparked by the media’s potential to strengthen community ties and provide perspectives of the underrepresented. She has written for publications such as the Los Angeles Times High School Insider and The Korea Times. Her community involvement extends to volunteer work and leadership of several cultural and musical groups. She currently serves as the president of the Music for Sharing Club, vice president of the Multi-Cultural Music Club, and president of the Young Angels Choir. She is also a TEDx speaker and a Girl Scout. Roanne aspires to build a career in journalism or public relations.
