Maritza is from California. Journalism has allowed her to master the art of language and helped her be a voice for those who have been silenced. At school, she is the vice president of both the Key Club and the Travel Club and the media manager for the Avid Club. As a first-generation Latina student, it is her goal to become part of the 17% of Latina lawyers.
