James is from California. He became involved in journalism at his high school during his freshman year and will be the Editor-in-Chief for his school’s newspaper, The Arrow, in his senior year. James is very passionate about political advocacy and believes that a strong and diverse media is the key to a flourishing democracy. In school, he is an avid participant in forensics, competing in Speech and Debate, Mock Trial, and Model United Nations. In the future, James aspires to be a policymaker or an elected official to effectuate the change he wants to see in the world.
