Isra is from Sudan and currently lives in Virginia. Her interest in journalism stems from her desire to share her creativity and interests with others. Isra is the Lifestyles Editor at her high school's publication, The Verdict, and the Vice President of the Journalism Club. She is also an active member of the National English Honor Society. In the future, Isra hopes to work in the health or journalism field.
