Diavona is from New York. Her interest in journalism derives from her passion for researching and uncovering news from around the world. She finds importance in bringing attention to underrated topics and being a voice for all. Dia uses expression and her ability to acknowledge all sides of a story to write an informative, impactful article. She is an editor of her school’s newspaper, a competitive dancer, captain of the Varsity Dance Team, and president of the American Sign Language Club. Diavona aspires to carry her writing skills with her throughout college by writing for her future school’s newspaper.
