Damya is from Ohio. Her devotion to journalism bloomed from her love for writing and, most importantly, from seeing debates that showed her how passionate people are about what they believe in. During the academic year, she is the treasurer for her school's Student Council and an active member of the Business Professionals of America organization, Muse Machine, and the Drama Club. She is also a host and reporter for the district information office. Outside of academics, Damya loves to read, write, act, and learn/teach herself about new things, like different languages. She is currently learning French! She hopes to have a career in anything dealing with the media world, including screenwriting, journalism, and/or filmmaking.
