Claire Baek is a native Virginian who believes in the power of storytelling to amplify unheard voices and create change, especially for immigrant and youth communities. She is the editor-in-chief of her school newspaper, The Purple Tide, a nationally competing rhythmic gymnast, and leads a student podcast on political issues with The Democracy Group. Claire aspires to study public and international policy alongside journalism to become a foreign correspondent.
