Angela Nguyen, the first of five children in a Vietnamese-Cambodian family, found her love of words through witty banter and bouts of late-night reading. Legend tells of Angela attempting to hide Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix under her pillow at the age of nine to read in the faint hours of midnight only to be discovered for the gargantuan size of the novel. Angela’s passion for journalism arose a few years after this incident in attempts to satisfy her unquenchable curiosity. She filled her spare minutes with myriad articles and videos of the latest news from YouTube. She wrote a few unremarkable articles along the way. No longer was Angela’s nose in a book; the real world was just as exciting as any heroic venture. Angela realized there was so much the people should know, but — with the newsfeed full of redundant headlines and pedestrian celebrity gossip — relevant knowledge was dwindling, the important stuff being lost amidst the clickbait. Thus, she sits at her iPad mini with its attachable keyboard, viciously typing away to take over the world with the truth. In her spare time, Angela can be found playing Tetris, watching Monty Python’s Flying Circus, and rocking out at random punk shows in the area.
