Amber is from New York. Her interest in journalism stems from her passion for social justice and advocacy, which she has carried since a young age. As a Korean-American woman, she feels a duty to fight for underrepresented and oppressed groups, hoping to enact real change. In school, she is Vice Captain of the FTC Robotics Team, a member of the ARISTA National Honors Society, the dance club, and Sigma Sorority, a club dedicated to female empowerment and advocacy within the school. Outside of school, she enjoys reading, writing, and publishing her work on a blog, creating nail art, and volunteering as a TA at an afterschool academy. She hopes that no matter what career field she chooses, she will be someone who creates good change in the world.
