Amanda Chapa

Amanda is a rising junior at Columbia University, where she is double majoring in Sociology and Ethnicity & Race Studies, on a Pre-Law track. At Columbia, Amanda has written for the Columbia Daily Spectator as a Deputy Editor for the University News Department, has worked with local educational nonprofits like Latinas On the Verge of Excellence and The Achivement Initiative, and currently serves as one of the Events Directors for The Uplift Fellowship, where she focuses on advising high school students during their college application process. She has also been part of the National Hispanic Institute, and worked for IGNITE National. In her free time, you can usually find her screaming about her love for the New York Yankees and the New York Rangers, or doing policy research on legislation in her home state of Texas. As a former 2021 PSJP Alum, this will be her second year working as a Program Coordinator.
